Use the calm winter days…

… and the yogic philosophy to focus more on your inner self

Depending on where you are in the world right now, the days are getting shorter, temperature is getting colder and suddenly you feel that the winter is coming back. Nature is calming down, leaves are falling from the trees and animals are looking for a shelter where they can spend the next months. Because of the cold weather, we also withdraw a little bit from our life outside the house and spend more time inside than during the warm summer days. So not only for nature but also for us it’s time to calm down now. In the yogic philosophy everything is connected, so it’s good to use the energy of the winter to focus more on ourselves. The yogic lifestyle can help us with that.

During regular practice of meditation and asanas, we are able to connect more with our inner self – a feeling we sometimes loose during busy days. So if you feel that you were too busy the last couple of weeks or months, just try to look back, acknowledge what you achieved and accept that it’s time to slow down now. Take your time for daily meditation and asanas, even if it’s only for a few minutes.

You will soon feel the great benefit and realize how precious life is and how lucky we are to live in this world. With that great feeling of thankfulness to Mother Earth, you can relax, take a deep breathe and enjoy the silent and peaceful winter moments.

With regular posts about different topics, we want to introduce our readers to the yogic lifestyle. If you have any questions or need support in your daily practice, please feel free to comment below or contact us via email or facebook. We will be happy to support you in your journey. Om.
