Drop-In Classes are flexible classes designed for students who are short time visitors in town and need to cover some topics. Below you find our weekly schedule for 2019.
As you can see from the schedule, we’re focussing on Hatha Yoga and Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. There are many Yoga styles, but we’re convinced that it is a good way to specialize on a few and teach them in the right and traditional way. That is why we’re not offering more at the moment, although our teachers having knowledge in many different forms. But if you are specifically interested in one form, you can let us know and we will be happy to provide you a class on demand (e.g. Yin Yoga).
Hatha Yoga is a very traditional form of Yoga and good for beginners. It’s also very suitable for travelers, because during traveling our body is in a special condition: we’re eating different food, we have to adjust to different climate conditions than usual and sometimes we also have to adapt to a different time zone. Under this conditions it is better to practice a basic form of Yoga and not to overuse the body.
Ashtanga Vinyasa is a modern form of Yoga, but it is coming from the traditional Yoga path. It is a very challenging way of practice and suitable for advanced practitioners. Because of this, we’re offering this class in the morning. That way you can use maximum of your energy for the practice.
Once in a week we offer Yoga Nidra, which is a special technique of Yoga that is very relaxing for body and mind. Especially in our modern lifestyle and with all the challenges we’re facing in this, it is good to practice Yoga Nidra at least once a week. We’re offering this course on Sunday, because most of the Yoga schools in Rishikesh are closed on this day. In that way everyone has the possibility to join our class – no matter if you’re already engaged in another Yoga school during the week or if you’re a traveler looking for some special experience.
Costs for our drop-in classes are 500 INR per class (about 7 US$) and payment is taken in cash. If you are interested in one of our drop-in-classes, please contact us via email or by phone. For Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga in the morning and Yoga Nidra on Sunday, please contact us at least the day before you want to join class. For Hatha Yoga, please let us know until lunch time, if you’re planning to come. We are looking forward to seeing you soon in one of our classes!
